Carolyn E. Mosby-Williams is a veteran public relations and marketing professional with more than 17 years government, not-for-profit and corporate experience. She is a native of Gary, Indiana and a graduate of Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana and holds a bachelor’s degree in Radio/TV/Film communications. Community involvement has always been part of her life and Carolyn has served her community in a variety of capacities and on numerous boards. Most notably, at 35 years old holding the position of chairman of the board for Indiana Black Expo, Inc., (IBE). Carolyn was the youngest chairman of the board in the history of the 38 year old not-for-profit organization. IBE is most known for hosting one of the largest African American cultural events in the nation, the annual Summer Celebration and the second largest African American sporting event in the nation, the Coca Cola Circle City Classic. Mosby-Williams is the daughter of the late John O. and the late Indiana State Senator Carolyn Brown Mosby (D - Gary). Currently, Carolyn holds the position of chief marketing officer for a global not-for-profit service organization headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana. She has responsibility for all marketing, branding and communications for the organization in more than 90 countries, serving amembership of more than 600,000.
Lisa D. DeNeal
With 15 years of experience as a journalist, Lisa D. DeNeal is currently a correspondent and weekly columnist for the Post-Tribune newspaper. A native of Gary, IN, DeNeal is an alumnus of Theodore Roosevelt High School and Calumet College of Saint Joseph. She got her start in journalism as a staff writer for The Gary Crusader, a weekly African-American newspaper. She is also a former contributing writer for Port of Harlem magazine based out of Washington, D.C. Her career allows her the opportunity to report and write positive and endearing stories about people, places and events in her hometown, as well as interview various celebrities – best selling authors Ernest J. Gaines, Michael Eric Dyson, activist Angela Davis, actors Ruby Dee and the late Ossie Davis and more. DeNeal is the daughter of Robert and the late Ada DeNeal and the youngest of four children.
